Be Part of the Durango Farmers Market

The Durango Farmers Market offers Information Booth opportunities for nonprofit organizations and community groups whose work aligns with our mission to support local agriculture, education, sustainability, and community well-being.

Information Booths are intended for education, outreach, and community engagement and are not a venue for commercial activity.

Purpose of Informational Booths

Information Booths create space within the market for organizations to:

  • Share educational resources and information

  • Engage the community around mission-aligned topics

  • Build awareness of local programs, services, and initiatives

All Information Booths must contribute positively to the market environment and align with the Durango Farmers Market’s mission and values.

Who May Apply

Eligible applicants include:

  • Federally recognized nonprofit organizations

  • Community groups with an educational, outreach, or public-service focus

For-profit businesses are not eligible for Informational Booths.

Booth Availability & Scheduling

  • Information Booths may participate once per month

  • Booth space is limited and must be reserved in advance

  • Participation is subject to approval and availability

The Durango Farmers Market reserves the right to limit or deny participation to maintain market balance and ensure a positive experience for vendors, shoppers, and the broader community.

Application Fee

  • A $35 non-refundable application fee is required

  • This is the same application used for vendors

  • Applicants must select “Information Booth” as their participation type when applying

The application fee covers administrative review and does not guarantee approval or placement.

Application Window:
February 1 – March 1

Applications submitted after March 1 may be reviewed on a rolling basis but are not guaranteed space and are subject to availability and market needs.

Booth Fees

  • There is no additional booth fee for Information Booths that are not collecting donations

  • A $25 per market fee applies to federally recognized nonprofit organizations that are collecting donations at the booth

Fees are assessed per market date attended.

Restrictions & Guidelines

To maintain a welcoming, inclusive, and community-centered environment:

  • No for-profit sales are permitted at Information Booths

  • All materials, activities, and services must be educational or outreach-based

  • All materials and activities must be reviewed and approved through the application process

  • Religious or political advocacy is not permitted

The Durango Farmers Market is committed to creating a safe and welcoming space for all. Information Booths may not promote or oppose specific religious beliefs, political parties, candidates, or agendas.

If your organization’s work may intersect with civic engagement or public information (for example, nonpartisan voter education or registration), and you believe it may be an exception to this guideline, please clearly explain this in your application. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Organizations are expected to staff their booth for the full duration of the market and comply with all market rules and staff direction.

How to Apply

Organizations interested in hosting an Information Booth must complete the Durango Farmers Market application.

When completing the application:

  • Select “Information Booth” as your participation type

  • Describe your organization and mission

  • List all materials or activities you plan to offer

  • Indicate whether you intend to collect donations

  • Request preferred market dates

Submission of an application does not guarantee approval. All Information Booth applications are reviewed annually and may be subject to additional requirements based on market needs or policy updates.
