Market Setup & Breakdown

Help us start and end each market day strong.

  • Set up tents, tables, signage, and market infrastructure

  • Assist vendors with load-in and breakdown

  • Help ensure the market space is clean and organized

Market Greeter & Info Booth

Be a friendly and helpful presence at the heart of the market.

  • Welcome visitors and answer general questions

  • Share information about vendors, programs, and special events

  • Assist with market merchandise and customer support

Social Media & Promotions

Help us capture and share the market experience.

  • Take photos and short videos during the market

  • Support day-of social media content and promotions

  • Help highlight vendors, programs, and community moments

“Trash Talker” Sustainability Crew

Support the market’s sustainability efforts.

  • Monitor compost, recycling, and trash stations

  • Help visitors properly sort waste

  • Keep the market clean and environmentally friendly

  • Educate customers on waste reduction and sustainability

2nd Saturdays on Main – Traffic Control

Support safety and smooth operations during our downtown events.

  • Assist with street closures and reopenings

  • Support vendor load-in/load-out

  • Help direct foot traffic and communicate with staff

  • Morning and midday shifts available

2nd Saturdays on Main – Road Barrier & Wayfinding

Serve as a stationary safety and information point.

  • Stand at designated road barriers

  • Open barriers only in the event of an emergency

  • Provide wayfinding assistance to visitors and vendors

  • Help ensure a safe and welcoming environment

Time Commitment & Compensation

Most volunteer shifts are 2–3 hours, primarily on Saturdays during the market season.

Volunteers receive Market Tokens as a thank-you for their time:

  • $10 in Market Tokens per standard shift

  • $20 in Market Tokens for early morning traffic control shifts on 2nd Saturdays

Volunteer Appreciation & Incentives

We deeply value the time and commitment of our volunteers. In addition to Market Tokens, we offer season-long appreciation incentives for those who go above and beyond.

  • Volunteers who contribute 30 or more hours during the season receive a free ticket to The Farmers Table, our signature fundraising event celebrating local food and community.

  • Additional volunteer appreciation perks may be offered throughout the season.
